REACH 2020 Nashville's vendor, Barbour's Farm LLC, unveiled a myriad of delicious canned goods during the Christmas week. One of his goods, Chow-Chow Relish, was extremely popular! He informed us that he sold his entire inventory of Chow-Chow!

Chow-Chow Relish is a North American pickled relish typically made from a combination of green tomatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, onions, sweet peppers, vinegar, etc. It is served cold, often as a condiment and relish. Also, it is regionally associated with the southern United States, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, the Appalachian Mountains, and the Maritime provinces of Canada. Although the exact origins of Chow-Chow Relish are unknown, different theories suggest that the expulsion of the Acadian people from Nova Scotia and their settlement in Louisiana contributed to the origination of its consumption in the United States.
